Our Story
Rooted in Kayanza, trusted worldwide
KAWASILI processes and exports specialty green coffee from the highlands of Kayanza, Burundi. Our washing station sits between 1,650 and 1,750 metres, where Bourbon heirloom cherries deliver the bright acidity, complex sweetness and clean cup our buyers seek.
We operate as the export division of Shamba Kahawa. Where Shamba Kahawa serves Burundi's domestic specialty community, KAWASILI is dedicated exclusively to international roasters and importers — with the rigor, paperwork and consistency that demands.
Our mission is simple: deliver excellent coffee that improves the daily lives of the more than 1,000 farming families who entrust us with their cherries every season.
